Salary: £36,047 per annum (inclusive of car allowance).
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

About the Housing Officer (Income) Role:
This role will involve:
Delivering income collection services to tenants that are of an excellent standard and accessible to all customers and always provide excellent customer service.
Supporting tenants with differing needs.
Court processes and representation at court hearings.
Management and collection of former tenant arrears.
Overseeing a patch of accounts, which includes face to face visits.
Taking incoming calls from the automated income collection system.
Identify vulnerabilities and collecting with care.
Identifying opportunities for service improvements, make recommendation and deliver changes effectively and efficiently.
Participating in new initiatives that will lead to improvement in performance and service delivery.
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
Essential :
Good Standard of General Education, preferably with relevant professional qualification
At least 1 years experience in an income collection setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages
Desirable :
At least 1 years experience in the Social Housing sector with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Housing legislation
Candidates will be required to work from either our Ashington or Durham office and you must be able to commute to both of these locations.
