Brief Description
Develop and update the external unit rates to input into the business planning process. Monitor external expenditure against plan targets and supplier performance against agreed KPIs. Identify variances and issues and recommend actions to be taken to control and eliminate them.
Key Accountabilities
1. Lead the development of periodic business information packs to include resources, workload and revenue and assist with other reporting schedules.
2. Support the delivery of external training supplier unit prices to Network Rail's strategic business plan, focusing on achieving corporate goals and value for money.
3. Specify and promote the most efficient and effective processes to be followed within central planning for monitoring the business plan.
4. Support the running of performance conduct reviews with key external suppliers where their performance is measured against agreed metrics and issues are escalated to the Business Development Manager.
5. Support the development of training demand models and business cases to inform the PD&T organisational model.
6. Continuously monitor Oracle and related system usage to manage developments and improvements on the planning & administrative process.
7. Act as Delivery Manager as directed for delivery of a specific project or portfolio of projects.
8. Deliver projects within time, quality and cost parameters.
Essential Qualifications
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
* Experience of leading a team.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Research and analysis skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in business planning within Network Rail.
* Experience of managing a budget.
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
