About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as an Internal Exclusion Room Supervisor in a thriving West London secondary school. This important role plays a crucial part in supporting students who require temporary removal from mainstream classes. You will ensure a calm and focused environment, promote reflection, and support students in returning to the classroom successfully. Responsibilities: Supervise students within the Internal Exclusion Room, maintaining a safe and secure environment. Implement the school's Internal Exclusion procedures consistently and fairly. Liaise with teachers and pastoral staff to understand the reasons for exclusion and develop appropriate strategies for each student. Support students in completing set work and assignments to ensure they stay caught up academically. Facilitate reflection activities that encourage students to understand their behavior and develop positive coping mechanisms. Communicate effectively with students, building rapport and fostering a sense of support. Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents and student progress. Qualities & Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds. A calm, patient, and assertive manner with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. A strong sense of fairness and a commitment to student well-being. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills to document incidents and communicate with staff and parents.
