42.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday + car allowance
We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.
About the role
As a Contract Manager, your role involves overseeing all aspects of operational and commercial delivery to ensure contract performance aligns with both company and client protocols. Key responsibilities include setting work streams, planning, monitoring health and safety, and ensuring quality control. The role demands adherence to health and safety regulations, Mears' standard operating procedures, and quality assurance accreditations. Managing direct resources and the supply chain to enhance productivity and efficiency is crucial. Additionally, the role requires cultivating a positive, customer-focused culture, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, and meeting contractual KPI targets. Effective management of employee performance, coaching, and development, along with maintaining strong client and community relationships, are also essential. Accurate reporting and compliance with company and client protocols are fundamental to this position.
Key Criteria:
* UK Full driving licence
* IT literate – Microsoft
* Previous experience in Project Management
* Previous experience in the construction industry
* Supervisory or management experience

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points. Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
