Real Estate Lawyer (5+ Years PQE)

Our Client is a leading law firm in Birmingham with a robust commercial property team. providing high-quality legal services to a diverse range of clients, including national and international businesses, investors, developers, and more.
They are now looking for an experienced and motivated Real Estate Lawyer with over 5 years of post-qualified experience (PQE) to join the growing team.
Role Overview:
As a Commercial Property Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of commercial property matters. You will work closely with clients to provide legal advice and ensure smooth transactions in areas such as commercial leases, acquisitions, disposals, and development. Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a Varied Caseload: Handle a wide range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development projects.
* Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-level advice tailored to their specific needs.
* Negotiations and Drafting: Draft and negotiate commercial leases, sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and other property-related contracts.
* Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence for property transactions, including title investigation, searches, and reporting on risks.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in other practice areas (such as corporate, litigation, and planning) to provide comprehensive legal support.
* Business Development: Participate in networking activities and help promote the firm’s commercial property services to new clients.
* Supervision and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior solicitors and paralegals, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
Required Experience & Skills:
* PQE: A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property law.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial property transactions, including leases, acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements.
* Client Focused: Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
* Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating commercial property transactions and resolving disputes.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial focus and a proactive approach to meeting clients’ needs.
* Technical Expertise: High level of technical competence in drafting and reviewing commercial property documents.
* Professionalism: A strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal work in a timely and efficient manner.
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience in advising clients in sectors such as retail, office, industrial, or residential property.
* Experience with more complex and high-value transactions.
* A following or established client base would be advantageous.
