Lead Commissioning Engineer responsibilities:
Develop and review CMDP commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for water supply systems, including package plants, pumping stations, process streams, and custom treatment solutions. Monitor water processes using process control equipment, such as SCADA, to detect issues and trends.
Identify and report asset faults, following the escalation process for any issues or concerns.
Engage with internal and external customers for example, contractors, regulators, colleagues visiting the site.
Apply hygiene procedures and Energy and Utilities Skills Register (EUSR) standards to clean water operations.
Assist with the development, planning, and delivery of SCO’s (Safe Control of Operations).
Support the delivery and execution of client requirements in the project's Water Quality Risk Assessment (WQRA).
Develop and maintain commissioning documentation and records to ensure compliance and quality assurance throughout the process.
Attend or chair progress and commissioning meetings, delivering relevant presentations.
Support the career development of Apprentice, Trainee, or Assistant Commissioning Engineers.
Lead Commissioning Engineer requirements:
Programme Management.
Ability to plan, manage, and coordinate commissioning tasks within a larger project framework team.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and practices, including using control measures and wearing necessary PPE, harnesses, gas detectors, and breathing apparatus for the task.
Identify trends, risks, and corresponding control measures.
Proven Electrical/ICA commissioning experience.
Determine action and follow procedure.
Record information/complete documentation in accordance with CMDP and SW Commissioning and Standards Manual.
