We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the finance team at our Head Office in Lutterworth.
The role would suit an ambitious and professional qualified accountant looking to increase their experience across a broad range of accounting disciplines including management accounts, fixed asset register, and treasury controls.
As a Management Accountant, you will provide management accounts for all UK Business Units that meet all aspects of departmental and financial controls.
This role is offered as hybrid working: 4 days in Lutterworth, 1 day working from home.
Responsibilities include:
1. Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, including reviews with the UK Financial Controller.
2. Owning the fixed asset register, including associated controls, and reporting.
3. Treasury controls including cash flow management and forecasting and preparing the annual treasury budget.
4. Responsible for government reporting, including VAT returns and national statistics submissions.
5. Production of annual statutory accounts.
6. Key point of contact for internal and external audits.
7. Implementation and improvement of strong internal controls, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliation.
8. Maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.
9. Liaise with and support the FP&A and Corporate reporting team with balance sheet and P&L monthly, quarterly, and budgetary information.
10. Ownership and financial support to operational functions, including IT, Marketing, and HR.
11. Provide financial modelling and analysis where required.
12. Support the UK Financial Controller in the management and development of the finance team.
13. Ad hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) considered.
2. Numerate and accurate with good analytical and reporting skills.
3. Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Flexible and able to quickly adapt to change.
5. Computer literate with advanced Excel skills.
6. Possesses a solid understanding of financial software principles.
7. Experience in the production of financial statements.
