For September 2025
The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London. The School’s facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work. The students at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.
Both curricular Physical Education and extra-curricular sports are highly popular, taught by experienced teachers and specialist coaches. Our pupils are outstanding achievers, regularly competing at regional and national levels. We offer a wide variety of sports, with Netball and Hockey being our largest, having gone from strength to strength over recent years.
Candidates should be able to teach and coach a range of sports; we will consider a variety of specialisms, but netball, football or tennis would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will be required to commit fully to the School’s extensive extra-curricular programme, which offers a vast array of activities.
The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.
For further information about our school and this role, please see the Recruitment Brochure and visit www.godolphinandlatymer.com. Fully completed application forms must be returned to recruitment@godolphinandlatymer.com as soon as possible. Please note that applications must be made on the school’s application form. CVs alone will not be accepted.
There is no closing date for this vacancy. Applications will be considered on receipt and interviews may occur at any stage. We reserve the right to close this vacancy once suitable candidates are found.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The School may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media accounts, as part of their application.
All staff working in the School during the school day will have contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. As a teaching member of staff you will be working directly with, and be responsible for, the children that you teach. You are also likely to have contact with other pupils on a regular basis which may include specific pastoral or other responsibilities for pupils whom you do not teach.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
