Are you kind, patient, and supportive? We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Gosport. In this role, you’ll support children with different needs, such as autism, learning difficulties, and emotional or mental health challenges. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to help create a safe, positive, and fun place to learn. Key Responsibilities : Giving 1-1or small group support that suits each child's needs. Helping teachers get lessons ready and making sure they’re fun and easy to follow. Supporting students as they learn to communicate and build social and emotional skills Encouraging students to be more independent and make positive choices. Helping put learning plans into action and seeing how things are going. Teaming up with teachers, and other staff to give the best support. Requirements : Have experience supporting children with special educational needs (desirable, but not essential) Brings a calm, patient, and compassionate approach Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being Holds a current DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one prior to starting.
