We are looking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic Civil Engineering Trainer Assessor to join our team. You must be a highly skilled and motivated individual whose passion is to inspire students to excel and achieve the highest standards within the sector. The position will be recruited on a permanent, full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have a background and understanding within the sector and will be able to efficiently support apprentices on the L3 Civil Engineering Technician, L3 Surveying Technician, and L3 Digital Engineering Technician standards, and relevant mandatory NVQ qualifications. Candidates should have a broad range of industry experience in civil/surveying and/or digital engineering and possess a recognised sector-based qualification.
The role of a Civil Engineering Trainer Assessor includes:
1. Supporting apprentices through workplace coaching
2. Preparing for end point assessment
3. Carrying out workplace assessments
4. Conducting progress reviews
5. Setting action plans in conjunction with employers
6. Supporting apprentices with their personal and professional development
7. Potentially conducting IQA duties within an existing team
8. Developing the College’s offer of apprenticeship standards in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies
Suitable candidates will hold a recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) and a relevant professional qualification. Candidates will ideally be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment using an electronic portfolio system. Knowledge of the new standards and EPA processes would be an advantage.
