The Role and Candidate
We're looking for a talented Visual Merchandiser to join Pop Mart's expanding UK team. Reporting to the Retail Area Manager and collaborating with our Global VM and Design team, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our unique brand experience to life across all UK retail locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the visual identity of one of the world's leading designer toy brands in the UK market.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute compelling visual merchandising strategies that align with Pop Mart's global brand guidelines while resonating with the UK market
* Partner with the retail team to create impactful seasonal displays and promotional campaigns that drive foot traffic and sales performance
* Collaborate with our HQ VM and Design team to localize global directives, ensuring our displays capture both brand essence and local market preferences
* Design and implement eye-catching window displays, product presentations, and in-store experiences that showcase our designer toy collections
* Analyse VM performance metrics and customer engagement data to optimize display effectiveness
* Conduct regular store visits across UK locations to maintain visual standards and provide hands-on support to retail teams
* Lead VM training sessions for store staff to ensure consistent execution of brand guidelines
Required Qualifications
* Tertiary education in Visual Merchandising, Design, Retail Management, or related field
* 3+ years of proven VM experience with premium lifestyle brands, particularly in designer toys, collectibles, or fashion accessories
* Strong portfolio demonstrating creative visual storytelling and brand-focused display solutions
* Exceptional eye for detail with deep understanding of spatial design and product presentation
* Outstanding communication skills with experience working in cross-cultural environments
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while managing multiple location responsibilities
* Flexibility to travel regularly between UK retail locations
Desirable but Not Essential
* Experience working within a global brand with a fast-paced retail environment
* Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences in the designer toy or accessory market
* Understanding of Asian pop culture and designer toy trends
