The role of Junior Channel Manager/Video Editor is an exciting position. It is a hands-on role working across Blue Zoo, Alphablocks, Numberblocks and new shows, requiring an individual with an understanding of how to optimise content for YouTube and the ability to execute upon a YouTube strategy to create and publish content which will gain the most views and engagement. This role will be required to edit video content, create, test and optimise images and text and publish content in accordance with a YouTube schedule.
As part of a growing team, you will also have some additional responsibilities including editing audio, video and image assets for the Apps team and creating assets for our digital music streaming platforms.
The role will report to the Lead Creative Producer and be part of a highly motivated, collaborative and creative growing team.
The successful candidate will need to be based in the UK. Currently, we're unable to consider VISA sponsorship.

Day to Day:
1. Editing, optimising and uploading fully optimised content to the YouTube channels, including testing to improve.
2. Creating motion graphics for use within multi-platform video content.
3. Writing and editing metadata and copy for videos.
4. Recommend ways to improve channel performance and awareness to the Lead Creative Producer and Production Manager, feeding into the overall channel strategy.
5. Support set up of language channels and carry out edits and uploads for the language translation pipeline.
6. Edit videos in order to publish the best content for the audience to support their learning and increase their engagement. Ensure that content is of the highest quality and adheres to YouTube Kids’ guidelines.
7. Stay on top of AVOD trends and competitor channels in order to ensure that edits are competitive and strong.
8. Editing audio, video and image assets for Apps projects.
9. Editing audio and image assets for our VOD platforms.
Must Have:
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and appreciation of the importance of brand integrity.
* A good understanding of the YouTube platform, in terms of content optimisation, with a minimum of six months working on YouTube.
* Excellent experience of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Audition & Photoshop.
* A solid understanding of what makes content fun for children!
Bonus Points:
* Experience working in children's media is ideal.
* An understanding of creating content for children, including an awareness of the implications of COPPA and GDPR laws.
