An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Support and Development (OSD) Inspector to join us at the Engine Overhaul Services facility in Derby.
The Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) facility is 27,000m2, with ~550 employees, and operational for 20 hours a day, 365 days a year. As the only wholly owned Large Engine MRO facility, with capability to maintain all modern Trent engines, EOS is fundamental to the future success of Civil Aerospace.
In this role, you will carry out a range of inspection activities from a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) perspective, including CMM measurement, replicast measurement, visual and dimensional inspection of group A components and EASA Form 1 issuing.

What you will be doing:
You will carry out inspection of a range of aerospace engine components and you will:
Interpret repair documentation, engine repair manuals and written specifications around project requirements into a product/ test specimen.
Resolve production and development issues by working collaboratively with the team and undertake other activities when production work is not required.
Be an integral part of our Operational Support and Development department and enable Rolls-Royce to maintain our excellent quality standards and deliver repair capability to a global network.

Additionally, for this role we are looking for someone who has:
Completed an advanced level engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
*To support your application please attach a copy of your certificates as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship together with your CV.
Experience of component inspection with ability to understand engineering drawings, repair documentation and manuals.
Experience with operating/programming CMM would be advantageous but not essential.
A self-starter, with a professional, flexible approach, ability to work on own initiative with great teamwork and effective communicator.
Capable of maintaining a clean and safe environment, acknowledging all HSE(health, safety and environment) and COSS factors.
Able to work to deadlines to achieve performance and project targets.
