Job Description: SF Recruitment is working with a local Nottinghamshire business to recruit a Group Statutory Reporting and Audit Manager on a 6 month FTC. The organisation offers an excellent working culture and attractive employee benefits propositions.
* Prepare and submit timely and accurate statutory financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries.
* Ensure adherence to local and group accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with external auditors for annual audits, including preparation of a timetable for the delivery of the process.
* Develop and maintain financial reporting policies and procedures.
* Ensure all corporate tax returns are delivered on time.
* Manage group tax position and advise on complex tax matters.
* Production of RDEC returns.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
* Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
* Implement necessary changes in reporting processes to comply with new standards and regulation.
* Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
* Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
About You: The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, internal audit, and treasury management, coupled with excellent leadership and analytical skills, including:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) with at least 4 years post qualification experience.
* Experience of FRS 102 statutory accounts preparation, financial controls and the audit process.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
* Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
