We are looking for a Chef de Partie where you will be responsible for the preparation, production and running of a section of the kitchen. You will assist in the production of all food served at the RSC, including public, staff and event catering to the highest quality.

Reporting to the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
* Work with all chefs in the creation and development of a leading food offer across all the Catering estate.
* Prepare, cook and present dishes using the agreed ingredients consistently during every service.
* Take an active role in assisting Senior chefs to develop new dishes and menus and assist with any menu changes and food tastings.
* Monitor portion control and wastage to maintain profit margins as directed by the Head Chef.
* Ensure full compliance in all areas of all food safety, food hygiene and health and safety legislative regulations.
* Work effectively with the whole catering team.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Previous experience of food preparation and leading a section during service.
* Able to follow instructions precisely and consistently.
* Self-motivated and a proactive approach to work with the ability to work flexibly, multitask and deliver in a pressurised environment.
* A good understanding of all HACCAP and Health and Safety legislation.
* Have relevant Food Safety and Health and Safety qualifications and able to demonstrate high standards of food safety and health and safety practice.
* Trained to at least Level 2 Food Hygiene.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford upon Avon. You will be working 48 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, including some evenings and weekends.
