Professional Qualification and Professional Registration
Essential criteria
1. Must be a registered mental health nurse,
2. Must have professional UK registration ie NMC
3. Educated to degree level or equivalent level of highly developed specialist knowledge and experience
4. Experience of Teaching and Assessing In Clinical Practice
Personal Attributes and Qualities
Essential criteria
5. Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of an organisation in both verbal and written form, for example with staff, patients, visitors or external organisations in the exchange of very highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, which will require the use of negotiating and/or persuasive skills.
6. Evidence of skills in diplomacy, negotiation and influencing
7. Ability to evaluate care leading to improvement in quality standards an service improvement
8. Inquisitive and eager to learn.
9. Evidence of seeking ways to improve self and others.
10. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for self, colleagues, and service users
Experience
Essential criteria
11. Experience of working within the care sector, or demonstrate transferable experience
12. Able to demonstrate knowledge in clinical assessment, treatment and care for people’s mental health
13. Demonstrable knowledge of legislation relevant to area of practice
14. A robust understanding of the function of mental health rehabilitation
15. Evidence of proactive involvement in supervision.

16. Previous experience of working in mental health service
17. Previous experience of working within the NHS
