Overview
Based in Exeter, you will join a multidisciplinary team of around 90 Engineers and Technicians. Our friendly, supportive office environment fosters personal development across a wide range of projects. We offer flexible progression structures aligned with your development.
We support flexible working arrangements to help employees balance personal commitments. The office benefits from good transport links, including a nearby train station, motorway access, and parking facilities.
You will be part of our Water Sector Team providing design expertise in collaboration with major UK water companies such as South West Water, Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, United Utilities, and Yorkshire Water. Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Support multidisciplinary design schemes as part of an established team of MEICA Engineers.
* Assist with project delivery within the Water sector, supporting motivated Engineers and Technicians.
* Participate in projects of varying size and complexity, including optioneering, outline, and detailed design, for water companies or via contractors in design and construct contracts.
* Ensure work meets client requirements and standards, including quality assurance.
* Manage plans and schedules to meet deadlines.
* Engage with clients and third parties as needed.
* Promote health, safety, welfare, and environmental sustainability in all activities.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential
* Relevant degree or experience.
* Full driving license.
* Chartered or working towards chartership.
Preferred
* Experience working with water industry clients.
* Relevant design experience.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Motivated with a positive attitude.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience with CAD, Revit, and BIM.
* Knowledge of BS7671 electrical standards.
