Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Sales Representation: Leverage your reliability engineering expertise to provide technical sales support and guidance to customers.
2. KSB Site Services Champion: Supporting sales efforts with new technological solutions and approaches.
3. Hybrid Work: Split your time between office-based tasks, field sales, and on-site technical support, including installation and measurement activities.
4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers at all levels, ensuring their technical needs are met.
5. Sales Generation: Generate enquiries and develop sales from both existing and new clients, focusing on technical solutions.
6. Technical Quotation Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate technical quotations for service activities and liaise with the KSB sales office for new product quotations.
7. Technical Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-up on quotations to secure orders, addressing both technical and commercial aspects.
8. Preventative Maintenance Plans: Propose Preventative Maintenance (PM) solutions and identify equipment criticality.
9. Targets & Reporting: Achieve monthly sales targets and complete detailed monthly reports to track progress and performance.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Engineering Background: Strong qualification and/or experience within the pump/rotating equipment reliability service sector. Vibration Analysis training preferred.
2. Reliability Engineering Knowledge: Expertise in prediction, prevention, and management of engineering systems, risks of failure and associated engineering principles.
3. Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand and convey complex technical information effectively to customers and colleagues.
4. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential failures in a timely manner.
5. Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
6. Driving License: Hold a valid UK driving licence with a good driving record.
7. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
8. Company Values: Represent KSB’s core values in all interactions, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
9. IT Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn and use new software tools.
