Qualified Dental Nurse – Wicobank Advanced Oral Health Centre
MyDentist currently has a requirement for a talented and passionate Dental Nurse at our fantastic Advanced Oral Health Centre in Wincobank, Sheffield. This practice is located close to Meadowhall Shopping Centre and has on-site parking available. The practice offers state-of-the-art facilities and provides NHS and a wide range of private treatments. There will be many opportunities for skill development at this practice, including access to advanced courses.
To be considered for this role you must be a fully qualified and GDC registered Nurse.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a positive patient experience.
Duties
* Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
* Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns during treatments.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including medical histories and treatment plans.
* Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
* Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming patient visits and following up on cancellations or rescheduling needs.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.
* Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient information in compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
* Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs.
* Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
* Prior experience in a dental setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided to the right candidate.
