Childrens Outpatients at Queens Medical Centre covers 2 departments in Clinic East and South.
We see over 500 children a week supporting multiple specialties with the clinical needs of our paediatric patients.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Childrens Outpatients Manager. The suitable candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring clinics can operate on a daily basis, on time as planned for a Monday-Friday service. They will ensure the team has the correct skill mix to facilitate all of the clinical needs and support with appropriate management skills, empowering their team colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the area is maintained to be clean and safe for all visitors to the department.
2. Safeguard the children and young people visiting our department, possessing a sound knowledge of safeguarding relevant to the role.
3. Ensure all audits and performance reports are completed each month and support the department team roster.
4. Work with Trust policies and adhere to Trust Values and Behaviours.
5. Be able to work individually as well as part of a bigger team.
6. Be supportive to all colleagues in the team and role model behaviour.
7. Manage staffing by completing sickness meetings, appraisals, and regular 1 to 1s and team meetings to ensure the team has a voice and lead on supporting service improvements with Matron input.
8. Ensure all daily checks are completed.
9. Complete tendable audits in a timely manner.
