Production Manager - West Sussex - up to £60,000 + Benefits - Ref 1759
I am currently recruiting for a Production Manager to work for an engineering organisation based in West Sussex. Salary up to £60,000 + Benefits.
The organisation supplies its products to clients worldwide within their specialist market and has been established for over 20 years.
Due to growth within the organisation, they need to appoint a Production Manager on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Production Manager, you will be a key member of the management team and will be managing all aspects of Production. You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of assemblers, polishers & machinists. The focus of this position is to set up a new Production flow for Machining, Polishing, Assembling, Dispatch & Stores. For context, this site is brand new and state of the art! The production area will involve lots of small batch projects, so there will be a heavy emphasis on planning, scheduling & updating production flows to increase productivity and efficiency. The company is growing on average 20% year on year, and they will be looking to implement new machinery & production processes which you will be expected to drive as the Production Manager.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Production Manager
* Experience in setting up a Production facility from scratch
* Knowledge of Lean or Kaizen methodologies
* Experience with Metals or Precision engineering
* Familiarity with S.M.E.D
* Mechanical bias
