Job Title: Animal Care Technician (Teaching Support Officer)

Working Hours: 37 per week (including working alternate weekends)
Salary: £22,551 - £22,751 per annum
CWA has an incredible opportunity to join our team at our Wisbech campus for an Animal Care Technician in Animal Care on a full-time basis (part-time or job share considered).
Our specialist companion animal care centre is home to over 200 animals ranging from livestock, exotics, and companion animals which includes birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. The role of Animal Care Technician is to work daily with the animals, completing all husbandry needs and ensuring high standards of animal welfare, with part of the role supporting learners in practical sessions.
Our animal care courses ensure that our students leave us with the scientific, practical, and administrative skills they need for their careers in animal care. This campus is all about the animals and has a real community feel to it. We are passionate about our animals and the education and training we provide to our students - the next generation of animal care specialists.
You will support a range of classes and courses within the Faculty and Programme Area. You must have a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care (which must include practical elements) or in a related subject and have relevant industry experience. You must hold a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain within 18 months of employment.
