An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic professional team within Clayfields House. We want extraordinary people to help us make a difference to the lives of young people. We believe everyone can achieve ‘positive change’ and we need inspirational, motivated, caring individuals with the right skills and knowledge to work with the most vulnerable young people, meeting their physical, emotional, and mental health care needs. You will need to have the ability and resilience to work in what can be a very challenging but rewarding environment.
Clayfields House is a Local Authority Secure Children’s Home part of Nottinghamshire County Council. We are a national resource providing secure care education and specialist interventions for up to 20 young people aged between 10 and 18, providing an intensive service for young people who are vulnerable, at risk to themselves or others, and/or placed in secure accommodation due to offending behaviour or through the Children's Act Section 25. We care for some of the most vulnerable young people in the country but can be the most rewarding.
Your role will involve providing enriching activities and day to day life skills with the young people in our care. You will be a team player, more interested in solutions than problems, and act as a role model to our young people.
We want to hear from you if you think you can meet the necessary requirements for this role and support young people in becoming the best version of themselves. We are looking for individuals who can work a three-week shift pattern which includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. We have both full time (37 hour) and part time (25 hour) positions available.
Salary: Enhancements for evening and weekends
NCC will not offer sponsorship for this role.
For informal discussion regarding this position, please telephone 01159170010 and ask to speak to the Team Manager.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
