Harris Hill is looking for an events candidate to fulfil the role of Networks and Engagements Officer, for 2-3 months, 4 days per week, on a hybrid basis at a policy-based charity in London.
Job Purpose
To coordinate and deliver engagement opportunities that enable the voluntary sector to connect, collaborate, learn, and share at online or in-person events.
To be the main point of contact for partnership work with local infrastructure organisations, ensuring timely and professional communications regarding Member Assemblies.
To share insights gained at events with partners and across the organisation.
To provide expert administration and coordination support to ensure the smooth running of events and networking opportunities.
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of volunteering and the voluntary sector.
2. Creating a customer journey.
Skills
1. Planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and coordinate events.
2. Applying expert attention to detail whilst managing a busy workload.
3. Confidence to utilise a range of online platforms and systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Zoom) or the ability to learn these quickly.
4. Facilitation skills, online and in-person.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues and partners at all levels.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarise feedback into written reports.
Experience
1. Experience of planning/supporting successful events and engagement opportunities.
