We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hams Hall team in the position of Maintenance Electrician.
The role holder would be responsible for PPM and breakdown support for a busy production site, which will include upgrading old and installing new machinery, improving site efficiency and renovating site facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stability and long-term employment.
Your duties would include but are not limited to the following:
1. Maintain the site electrical plant and equipment to ensure the efficient and safe working of the plant.
2. Carry out preventative maintenance and installation of new equipment as required.
3. Attend breakdowns and assist the mechanical fitter with his shift duties.
4. Respond to and act upon the fault report system.
5. Work closely with shift colleagues, charge hands, operators, maintenance charge hand, shift managers, production manager, and works manager to ensure the site’s targets and objectives are achieved.
6. Conduct preventative and planned maintenance.
7. Deal with plant breakdowns.
8. Carry out shutdown preparatory work.
About you:
1. Previous experience in a similar field, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
2. Recognised electrical qualification (apprentice trained, Level 3 or above).
3. Attend to machine breakdowns and solve/diagnose any electrical or mechanical failures.
4. Provide Engineering cover to suit the demands of the business.
5. Provide accurate information and regular progress updates as required by management.
6. Knowledge of AC and DC drives and PLCs.
7. Experience in electronics and instrumentation would be advantageous.
8. Effective communication skills.
