About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Property Services Workplace team and take the lead on facilities management while supporting the Head of Workplace in shaping and delivering workplace strategy. The role involves overseeing major projects, driving operational improvements, and ensuring our facilities support the evolving needs of the business. With a strong focus on collaboration, problem solving, and data driven decision making, this role is key to creating efficient high performing workplaces.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading facilities management operations, ensuring high standards and efficiency.
2. Taking ownership of major projects, from planning to delivery.
3. Supporting the Head of Workplace in developing and implementing workplace strategy.
4. Using analytical insights to improve estate performance and future-proof our portfolio.
5. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and sustainability.
6. Engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and support for key initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
1. A proactive and ambitious individual with the drive to take ownership and deliver results.
2. Strong people skills able to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively.
3. An analytical thinker, comfortable using data to inform decisions.
4. Experience in facilities management, building surveying, or a related field.
5. A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in workplace environments.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
2. Holds a relevant professional qualification; e.g. MRICS, MBIFM or similar.
3. Sound technical knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law.
4. Holder of relevant H&S qualifications, e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or similar.
5. Proven experience in effective management of facilities management.
6. Proven contract management skills.
7. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation.
2. Proven negotiation skills.
3. Full driving licence.
