We are looking for a Logistics Supply Chain Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Derby, hybrid (3 days on site, 2 from home) on behalf of our globally respected client who develops cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe, and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs.
Job description - the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a well-established Electronic Measurement Systems team providing a mixed portfolio of both new and mature capabilities to the aftermarket. This is a customer-facing role servicing over 200 customers worldwide, and dealing with a number of strategic suppliers to deliver new, and to repair/maintain existing products. The role is broad and would benefit an individual who is able to adopt an overview technical understanding of the product domain to supplement the required engineering logistical skills.
As a Logistics Supply Chain Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Reporting to the Electronic Measurement Systems team leader
* Acting as an interface for customer and strategic supplier orders and enquiries
* Liaising with the technical resource in the team to resolve issues
* Assisting in managing the supply chain
* Monitoring new product and repair delivery to agreed plans and service levels
* Communicating progress to customers and stakeholders

A working knowledge of SAP and Coupa would be advantageous, but training will be available. You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
