St Catherine’s Hospice is delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to join the hospice’s medical team as a Clinical Fellow (experience dependent). This position comes at an exciting time for the hospice, which has expanded its well-regarded community Clinical Nurse Specialist team and launched a hospice at home pilot. The new post holder will work flexibly across clinical services, primarily based on the inpatient unit, with opportunities to develop community palliative medicine experience.
If you are caring, compassionate, and committed to making a difference to those facing conditions like cancer, heart failure, and motor neurone disease at one of the most poignant times in their lives, we want to hear from you. You will join a highly motivated, multi-professional team focused on providing high-quality, responsive care for patients and their families when and where they need it.
The successful candidates will be joining an established medical team at a pivotal moment – St Catherine’s being recognised as a University Hospice (one of only four in the UK). This creates more opportunities for placements at the hospice, staff development, and research and innovation to improve palliative and end-of-life care.
Other benefits include:
1. Ample, free parking in the beautiful grounds of St Catherine’s Park when based at the hospice
2. Access to training and development opportunities
3. The opportunity to transfer an NHS pension
4. Generous annual leave entitlement of 38 days per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays) full time
5. Additional wellbeing day of leave on your birthday or nearest working day
6. Generous study leave entitlement of 10 days per year (full time)
7. Support with continued professional development
Please note we do not currently have a sponsorship license, and the successful candidate will need to provide evidence of the right to work in the UK.
