Group Health & Safety Manager - National
Location: Hybrid – Office base in Stockport, Birmingham, or Uxbridge
Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum + car allowance
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a Group Health & Safety Manager to oversee compliance with Health and Safety, Fire, and Environmental regulations across multiple schools, children’s homes, and support offices.
About the Role
This is a hybrid position, requiring:
1-2 days per week at your closest office (Stockport, Birmingham, or Uxbridge).
2-3 days per week working from home.
Regular visits to various settings within the group.
Key responsibilities include
1. Leading H&S compliance audits, documenting findings, and collaborating with key stakeholders on remedial actions.
2. Monitoring and identifying staff training needs, as well as delivering H&S training.
3. Providing expert H&S advice to colleagues, ensuring a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors.

About The Group
We specialise in providing education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH needs.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths & English (C grade or above).
2. NEBOSH General Certificate.
3. Current IOSH membership (minimum Tech IOSH level).
4. Strong knowledge and experience of H&S legislation and its application.
5. Experience in a similar role, ideally within education or social care.
6. Full driver’s licence with access to own transport.
