You will be joining the team at an exciting time. Information Governance and Data Governance became a single function in 2024. The postholder will work cross functionally with the Data Enablement Manager to support data governance work at the Bank. Experience of working in data governance is therefore desirable. This role will include preparing materials to support the escalation and resolution of any issues identified through the monitoring and acting as data enablement partner into product areas. The role will also support the day-to-day coordination and management of information and records including data sharing, records retention queries and handling requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004. You will also be required to undertake coordination of data subject rights, supporting the business to undertake data protection impact assessments and maintain key data protection requirements to enable the Data Protection Officer to foster a Data Protection by Design and Default approach across the organisation, embedding data protection considerations in the design of new and legacy products and services. To be considered for this role you must have experience of working in an information governance role in the public or private sector, you will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation, Data Protection Act 2018 and other information law. You will have experience of working in busy departments with demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
