About The Role Job Title: Case Progression Officer – CP Court Contract : Permanent Location: Hereford Hours: 37 hours Salary: HC11 £49,764 - £54,180 (plus market supplement of £5,000 per year £54,764 - £59,180) Relocation package of up to £10,000 available Closing date: 27/11/2024 Come and join us on our Restorative Journey of Improvement to gain the best for children and families in Herefordshire The Role We are looking for a new Case Progression Officer to join the CP Court Service. The role entails working alongside social workers, team managers and senior managers providing tracking, monitoring and guiding workers through pre-proceedings and care proceedings. We also support with developing and streamlining social work practice in other areas, such as private law, adoption, planning around and monitoring progress for our unborn children and children subject to Section 20, to name a few. The Case Progression Officers work closely with our Legal colleagues, the Local Family Justice Board, ACE and other agencies in shaping our services and practices, often liaising between services to enhance service delivery to our families. Case Progression Officers do chair meetings to monitor and track the progress of our children for which you will need to be able to keep up to date, accurate and timely records. You will need to be able to provide analytical data to the senior management team, sit on various panels, provide 1:1 mentoring and developmental support and have the ability and experience to contribute and appropriately challenge (where needed) in order to accurately understand a child's journey and plan. Herefordshire Council Child Protection & Court Teams The Childrens Child Protection & Courts teams are based in the centre of Hereford with good transport links to get around the City as needed. The staff are very welcoming and are always keen to offer help and guidance if needed to anyone new to the team. We work alongside families in improving outcomes for their children, we have a restorative approach to social work and this is also evident in the team culture and senior management style as we are always available for discussions on complex matters which we work together to ensure the right outcome is achieved for our families. Regular supervision takes place each month and you will have an allocated supervisor, who is available on a daily basis, for both formal and informal supervision sessions and case discussions.
