This role provides a unique opportunity to support young people aged 0–18 by delivering high-quality social work interventions and fulfilling all statutory duties, including court and adoption work. As part of a highly stable team (90% permanent staff), you’ll work collaboratively with dedicated professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families across a large geographical area. Key Responsibilities: Support children and young people aged 0–18 with all statutory duties, including court and adoption work. Work closely with multi-agency teams to ensure seamless service delivery and strong care plans. Build professional and empathetic relationships with families, ensuring they remain central to all decision-making. Undertake assessments and care planning, producing clear, evidence-based recordings. Conduct effective care planning through statutory reviews, ensuring that children in care receive the best outcomes. Travel across rural Somerset to engage with children and families, completing essential visits. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. A minimum of 2 years' experience in children’s social care, including court work and multi-agency collaboration. Knowledge of statutory processes and relevant legislation, particularly for children looked after. Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across rural Somerset as required.
