We are proud to be working in partnership with an innovative, modern manufacturing business based in Rotherham to recruit for a Technical Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. This client boasts an extremely healthy order book, excellent working environment, and future progression plans for their employees. Working as a Technical Engineer, reporting into the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Coordinating and implementing foundry techniques inclusive of Titanium and air techniques as well as thermal processing.
* Ensuring technical sign-offs are completed.
* Writing and completing Finishing Route Cards.
* Approving heat treatment techniques and obtaining support from the Technical Director.
* Attending and contributing to the Techniques meeting.
* Assisting in developing, improving, and monitoring manufacturing processes.
* Compiling and keeping up to date logs of product development and data analysis for key customer issues/trials within shared access.
* Being the main technical lead in supporting projects for customers, including customer project meetings.
* Directing and controlling workloads, ensuring they are manageable, and the completion dates adhered to.
* Interpreting and presenting data to management or senior colleagues.
* Responding to enquiries.
This role would suit someone currently working as a Manufacturing Engineer or Technical Coordinator within a heat treatment, foundry, steelworks, or castings environment.
You will:
* Have knowledge of foundry and heat treatment techniques.
* Have the ability to take on technical information.
* Be competent working with an internal database.
* Have the ability to learn and develop technical product knowledge.
* Be able to work independently.
This is a new role within the business as part of their growth and future projected plans.
