About the Role:
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and engaging lessons across key stages 3 and 4. You will help students develop practical skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving, encouraging creativity and critical thinking. You'll be part of a collaborative team committed to providing students with a stimulating and hands-on learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering high-quality lessons in Design and Technology to students in KS3 and KS4
2. Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
3. Assessing and providing feedback on student progress, offering support for their development
4. Fostering a positive, creative, and inclusive classroom environment
5. Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Design and Technology or a related field
2. Strong subject knowledge and passion for Design and Technology
3. Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4 is desirable, though NQTs are encouraged to apply
4. Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for creativity and innovation
5. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
6. A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
