Senior PA Apprentice (Technical and Scientific Development) Job Summary We are recruiting for a Senior Personal Assistant Apprentice to provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the Head of Testing Development for Technical and Scientific Development within the Blood Supply Directorate. Being part of our Apprenticeship Programme is a great opportunity for you to gain valuable knowledge and experience, as well as develop a range of transferrable skills. The position is therefore suited to someone who values learning and has a desire to start an interesting and rewarding career path within NHSBT. Main duties of the job You will be required to undertake administration and clerical duties in support of the Technical and Scientific Development Team. Typically these duties will involve :- Providing direct office management and administrative support to the Manager Providing a personal assistant service, acting as a central source of communication between the Manager and Senior Managers in the Directorate Take responsibility for the Managers diary, planning and organising all appointments to ensure the most efficient use of their time Set up, arrange and attend monthly meetings Document and formally minute meetings Liaise with external suppliers to provide training courses for senior staff, arranging venues and facilities and acting as a point of contact for trainers and trainees. Any other opportunities that will enable you to successfully attain the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme. You will be required to undertake occasional travel to any NHSBT sites to meet the requirements of the post (notice will be given) About You Experience and Knowledge Experience of handling conflicting deadlines and priorities. Understanding of the need for confidentiality Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems Qualifications and Training Commitment to studying towards and completing the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme Maths and English GCSE s or equivalent Demonstrates commitment to own continuous learning and development About Us At NHS Blood and Transplant, we re incredibly proud of the many talented people who come together every day to make our organisation the very best it can be.
