We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our experienced and innovative Senior Leadership Team as Operation Manager for the adult mental Health Adult Crisis Services Cornwall.
We are seeking an experienced leader who will develop and manage the strategy, vision and operational delivery for the adult crisis services. The post holder will operationally manage includes Home Treatment Teams, Emergency Department Liaison, Mental Health Connect /111(2) services, Emergency assessment suites (136 suites), Mental Health Ambulance and admission avoidance developments. You will have a pivotal role in effectively promoting the service and building strong and effective partnership working arrangements across the local health and care systems in Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly.
Accountable for the delivery of the service priorities across mental health and physical health systems, responsible for ensuring the KPI's and outcomes for each service are met, you will translate this into clear goals and objectives for managers and clinicians to deliver the highest quality services with outcomes that make a positive difference to service users and their families.
Required to ensure that there is robust clinical decision making for each service, ensuring that mental health and safeguarding risk is well managed through effective quality and clinical governance models.
Main duties of the job
* Ensure there is assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the evidence-based care required, including health promotion for the service user/group.
* Responsible for the setting of quality standards, including the monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
* Responsible for ensuring the team member's effect changes in the service user's physical/mental/emotional state are documented and acted on appropriately in line with trust policies and procedures.
* Responsible for the team's effective engagement of service user's and their carer's with the service.
* Ensure there is compliance with governance audit framework.
Professional:
* Ensure the Trust appraisal process, in conjunction with appraiser, that your personal development and training needs are identified and in place.
* To support the teams in research, and lead in issues of service modernisation, clinical governance
* Responsible for ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Trust policy and good practice.
* Responsible for maintaining and conducting oneself in a professional manner towards service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies.
* Participate in joint working with appropriate experts/agencies.

* Substantial post qualification/equivalent experience in relevant field.
