Job Description
As a Category Manager - IT Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will lead on:
* Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies for IT procurement, including hardware, software, and services. You will be managing a spend of 30-40 million.
* Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
* Strategic Sourcing: Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms and conditions.
* Spend Analysis: Monitor and analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
* Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met and risks are mitigated.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.
* Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management.
* You will also manage a small marketing category.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager/Contracts Manager should have:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT procurement contract management with a large supplier base.
* Knowledge of IT products and services, market trends, and supplier landscape.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
* Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
