Randstad Education is looking for a motivated and passionate History Teacher with Religious Education (RE) for our secondary school in Benfleet. You will encourage critical thinking, empathy, and a global perspective while developing a profound understanding of religious studies and history in all of your classes.
This is a permanent role, starting as soon as possible.

Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching History and Religious Education - this is essential
2. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
3. Eligibility to work in the UK
4. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for both History and RE
5. Outstanding ability to engage students of all abilities and manage the classroom
6. A dedication to upholding the ethos and values of the school
7. Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive teaching style
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality History and RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience)
2. Create, plan, and evaluate classes in accordance with the curriculum to guarantee that learners reach their maximum potential
3. Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment where each student can reach their full potential
4. Take part in departmental meetings, assist in developing curriculum, and pursue ongoing professional development
5. Have the passion to teach and to make a difference
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
