Pertemps are thrilled to be working with one of the leading apprenticeship providers across the UK to hire a Learning Coach in the Engineering division.
As an Engineering Tutor, you will be delivering the Level 3 Apprenticeships on the following qualifications -
1. Level 3 Engineering Technician - Mechanical and Electrical pathways.
2. Level 2 Foundation Competence.
3. Level 3 Development Competence.
4. Level 3 Development Knowledge.
The role:
5. Fulfil teaching commitments which will consist of both classroom and workshop environment.
6. Manage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions
7. Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely including:
8. 20% OTJ requirements are fully met and recorded as per procedure
9. Learners achieve the highest grade in EPA they are capable of
10. Progress learners using onefile, setting targets for Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
11. Individualised learning programmes, agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English
12. Engage the learner’s line manager, making clear their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for learning
13. Plan the end point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan
14. Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners’ needs
15. Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
16. Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable), to support the learner’s achievement and progress in these areas
17. Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development
18. Work closely with IQA’s on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
Qualifications and Experience:
19. Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery)
20. Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake
21. Teaching qualification Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS
22. Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning
23. Knowledge of Government funded training
