The role
As a Training Instructor - Mechanical, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Mechanical Instructor will be responsible for delivering training courses within their capability and maintain and develop training material as required in support of the Hawk Contract.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Carry out instructional duties for which you are deemed to be qualified, to Babcock employees and personnel from external companies as directed.
2. Develop and maintain course material including syllabi, presentations, training notes, lesson plans and assessments.
3. Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback and ensuring all personal competency and experience records are kept up to date.
4. Maintain instructional standards, current procedures, changing trends and defects that are relevant to courses delivered and trade specialization.
5. Carry out exam invigilation and secondary duties as required within the department.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Valley.
Essential experience of the Training Instructor - Mechanical:
1. Supervisory experience in mechanical aircraft maintenance and systems
2. Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals in a technical field.
Qualifications for the Training Instructor – Mechanical:
1. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
2. Confident with using Microsoft packages.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
