Pulse Healthcare is actively seeking Resident Doctors in Critical Care for a renowned Private Organization located in Central London. This position is based in the organization’s Central London Clinic and presents an exceptional opportunity to establish collaborations with private patient consultants, gain insights from specialized nurses, and contribute to critical care pathways under the guidance of designated consultants. The clinic holds an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating and handles a diverse range of complex cases, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages the sharing of specialist knowledge and experiences.
This is a permanent contract role, and your key responsibilities will involve:
1. Supporting consultants in the day-to-day management of Critical Care Ward and ITU units, overseeing medical care from admission to discharge.
2. Independently managing the medical care of inpatients, including clerking planned and unplanned admissions, conducting daily patient ward rounds, and responding to medical emergencies.
3. Performing medical procedures as required by the lead consultant, such as vascular access, airway management, acute pain management, and various other procedures.
To be eligible for this role, you must possess:
4. Current GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
5. Additional post-graduate qualifications such as FRCA/FICM/MRCEM/MRCP or equivalent (desirable)
6. NHS Trained in Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthesia to ST3 and above, or equivalent
7. Competence in managing complex airways unsupervised and the ability to train and support others
8. Current ALS certificate
