Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Summer term start
Full-time position
KS1 class
We're working closely with a lovely special primary school based in Bristol that is looking for a teacher to join them from the start of the summer term. The school caters to a range of different special needs & disabilities, focusing primarily on SEMH & ASD students (aged 4-11).
The school is a supportive environment, proud of the important work they do. While the work can be challenging, it is also very rewarding!
The role
The class consists of 8 KS1 students, supported by 2 permanent teaching assistants. This role can be flexible in terms of responsibilities; whether you prefer to lead the class with pre-planned cover or take on a full-time teaching role (including planning and marking), they are open to both options.
It is essential that you have prior experience working with SEMH students and feel confident managing challenging behavior. A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable.
