We are a welcoming, inclusive school rated ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ features by Ofsted. Role 1: Teaching Assistant, likely to be in Years 5 and 6. An opportunity to lead classes as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant may be available according to the needs of the school. Role 2: Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner, likely to be in Reception, the majority of the role will be supporting a pupil with complex needs. For both roles additional hours may be available according to the needs of the school. You will: undertake a range of specialist tasks to support the learning and development of the pupil/s, including delivering personalised curricula (planned by the class teacher/s and/or SENDCo) where required promote independence and positive behaviour through a ‘least help first’ approach have a positive impact on the attainment and progress of the pupil/s, taking into consideration their particular needs have an appropriate level of expertise, qualifications and/or experience, including grade C or equivalent in English and maths.
