As a part-time Food Tech teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students the essential skills of food preparation, nutrition, and cooking techniques, fostering creativity and practical skills in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging food technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, focusing on food preparation, nutrition, and safety. Assess and monitor students’ progress in food tech, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Collaborate with the department to refine and enhance the food tech curriculum, bringing fresh ideas to the role as a part-time food tech teacher. Encourage students to explore different cooking methods and develop practical food skills. Foster a positive and safe learning environment where students can experiment and improve their culinary abilities. Stay up-to-date with food technology trends and incorporate new teaching techniques into your lessons. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience as a food tech teacher at the secondary level. A passion for teaching students how to cook and appreciate the science of food.
