Main duties of the job As a Patient Transport Admin Clerk, you will be trained to be a valuable member of our team,booking patient ready to go home. Providing other support such as booking transport for a patient to attend their appointment and liaising with our transport providers to keep the patients informed of their wait times. You will have a responsibility of communicating with patients and professionals, both face to face and over emails and telephone. The post will rotate on three different shift patterns between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. To be successful, you will need to show you fulfil the essential criteria on the person specification. Plan and organise workloads. Maintain an electronic database of all journeys undertaken.Understand the fragility and value of medical devices e.g., scopes and conveys this to drivers so as to ensure the safe transportation of such equipment Constantly review planned journeys to optimise routes.
