This role will besupporting a lady with Autism on a 2:1 Basis, She enjoys going out into the local shop and listening to music We will provide staff on a 24/7 basis. Key Responsibilities Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. Support with all facets of daily living. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment. Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members. Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy. Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided. Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning. Assist with all aspects of daily living and have the ability to help someone build everyday life skills. (Cooking, cleaning, shopping, and planning) Helping to plan and organise leisure opportunities such as going to the shop, walking, places of interest etc. Encouraging new hobbies like Swimming, painting etc. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support. Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required. UK driver’s license required. Previous Autism experience. Previous experience working with mental health. Enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
