CSM Senior Business Analysts are accountable to the CSM Lead Business Architect for the Planning and Delivery of the Business Analysis activities to support the Portfolio and it’s Programmes - Defence Human Resources Systems (Def HRS) and Finance and Commercial Journey to Cloud (J2C).
Role Specific Responsibilities
Plan and deliver business analysis activities required to support a defined portfolio of change:
Lead in engagement with senior stakeholders to understand, identify and analyse user and business needs.
Support the development of robust business cases by helping to identify and analyse potential benefits, options for achieving those benefits and associated business risks.
Ensure business and stakeholder requirements are understood through common requirement elicitation techniques.
Understand, map and document complex business processes and services to defined standards. Drive the analysis of information and processes to support the Adopt Not Adapt Principle.
Assess the impact of changes on the organisation, people and processes.
Work with Technical Architects to identify and select appropriate solutions based on requirements. Ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with the Portfolio vision and strategy.
Work with Programme Teams to support design and delivery throughout planning, implementation and testing, ensuring business readiness criteria are met.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement for ways of working:
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Def HRS, J2C, Defence Business Services and Head Office to achieve common goals.
Promote and ensure the use of appropriate Business Analysis techniques, methodologies and tools.
Lead in the investigation of business challenges, problems and opportunities, considering all perspectives and making recommendations for resolutions.
