Our client, who specialise in Freight Forwarding through multimodal services, are currently seeking a Commercial Sales Executive for their team based in Essex, to expand their customer base and increase revenue within the European Road Freight market.
As the Commercial Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific logistics requirements, and providing tailored solutions that meet their needs.
You will be proactively upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer base.
Duties of the Commercial Sales Executive:
1. Identify and target potential clients in the European road freight sector to generate new business opportunities.
2. Visit potential customers for new business and completing a visit report for each visit attended.
3. Liaising regularly with colleagues to ensure the services offered to clients are always exceeding expectations.
4. Negotiating terms of an agreement and closing sales.
5. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to provide insights for product and service enhancements.
6. Provide customers with quotations.
7. Ensure you record all sales and order information, and copies are sent to your colleagues.
8. The successful Commercial Sales Executive will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in European Road Freight, with at least 2 of those in a direct commercial or sales related role.
9. You must have strong knowledge of European road freight operations, regulations, and market dynamics.

10. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
11. Strong Logistics experience
12. Excellent communication skills
13. Good negotiating skills
14. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels.
15. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
