Role Overview
A new position has arisen to support the Lung Centre Team at the Cromwell Hospital as the department is getting busier. You will perform conventional and complex respiratory tests in a range of clinical settings, with opportunities to learn and develop your skills. The clinic sees both adult and paediatric patients.
We are looking for someone available for an average of 2-5 days per week, with the possibility to extend to Saturday shifts (paediatric only), evening clinics (from 5pm to 8pm), and annual leave cover.
The successful candidate for this bank position is likely to be considered for more shifts as opportunities arise and a permanent role in the future.

What you’ll do
You should be able to perform all conventional respiratory tests independently and will be provided support and opportunity to develop your skills with more complex tests, if needed.
Experience in the following tests is desirable:
* Spirometry
* Lung Function Tests
* Reversibility Studies
* Skin Prick Allergy Testing
* FeNO
* 6-Minute Walk Tests (6MWT)
* Respiratory Muscle Strength Assessment
* Bronchial Provocation Studies (Mannitol and Methacholine)
* Fitness-to-Fly
* Hyperventilation
* Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPET)
* Exercise Induced Bronchoprovocation (EIB)
* Capillary Blood Gases (ear sampling)
* Respiratory Polygraphy
What you’ll bring
* BSc in Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science and current ILS certification.
* Experience in performing conventional respiratory tests unsupervised. Experience in both adult and paediatric settings is preferable.
* Some knowledge and experience with more complex tests will be an advantage.
* Understanding of private healthcare service delivery and flexibility to adapt to change while continuing to perform to a high standard.
