To assist the QA Supervisor in maintaining, verifying, and monitoring the food safety, quality systems, and product quality within the business to meet internal, customer, and third-party requirements. To promote a quality culture within the business.
Duties
1. Carry out verification and monitoring of the production process according to the requirements of the Quality and Food Safety Plan.
2. Sample collection, testing, and relevant corrective action for shelf life monitoring, microbiological and chemical testing, organoleptic assessments, results recorded appropriately, either electronically or manually.
3. Act as a quality and food safety champion, ensuring high levels of GMP are achieved at all times, and effectively communicate any potential issues. Work with the production team to reduce customer complaints.
4. Ensure traceability is achieved throughout the production process, and accurate, legible records are completed accordingly.
5. Thoroughly investigate customer complaints, ensuring that root causes are identified, and work with the production team to implement preventive actions.
6. Verify equipment according to the calibration plan, maintain neat, legible records, and report equipment out of tolerance.
7. Verify and file production and QA records ensuring these are easily retrievable at all times, reporting non-conforming paperwork to the QA Supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills or Experience
1. Level 3 Hygiene minimum
2. Basic Health and Safety
3. HACCP
4. Food science or equivalent

Hours of Work:
4 on 4 off (rotating between 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off)
Rates of Pay:
£14.90 per hour
